The Trainer of the Year Award was developed to recognize the hard work by those who prepare and maintain our most valuable team members - our horses. This very prestigious award recognizes the professionalism, horsemanship and horse training practices to which all AVA members, as well as past award recipients, aspire.

Osierlea Award

The annual Osierlea Award is presented at the AVA/USEF National Championships each year. This award, sponsored by AVA founders Elizabeth Searle and J. Ashton Moore, is designed to encourage clubs, coaches and longeurs to present their horses in the best possible light at the horse inspection before the competition begins.

AVA Horse of the Year |

The Technical Committee created the AVA Horse of the Year Award in 1994 to honor the organization's most outstanding vaulting horse that year. In 2014, the AVA Horse of the Year became the Horse High Point Award. National and Regional horse high point awards are based on the placing of a vaulter or team at an AVA recognized competition.
